I saw a couple of different articles about photographer Giles Duley that made me think a lot today about ‘perceived’ obstacles, difficulties and chalenges that people face in their lives. It reinforced the belief I have that no challenge is enough to get in the way of what you really want; its just a matter of going out there and making it happen.
It also made me think about peoples willingness (or lack of) to strive to reach their goals, never losing sight of the prize and also the strength and the toll that it takes to do that.
I find it inspiring that someone who faced such a huge setback can still manage to be positive, motivated and committed. I’m not sure that I’d have the strength. But I’d like to think I’d try my damnedest to find it.
Have a look at the article in the New York Times. It really helped me put my own setbacks into perspective.
